To make your stay in Bourg-Saint-Maurice / Les Arcs as pleasurable for you as your little cherubs, several infrastructures are ready to welcome your children throughout the day. On the programme and depending on the age of your little ones are : games, children’s entertainment, ski kindergarden, skiing...

Child day-care Arc 1600 

The Children’s club, situated in La Cachette hotel, welcomes children from the age of 4 months up to 12 years old. The club is open everyday, except Saturdays, from 8.30am to 6pm. If you dream of spending a whole day on the slopes with a meal at the summit, we can take care of your children’s lunch! Relax, enjoy and don’t feel guilty about it!

Baby Club : for little ones from 4 months to 2 years old, indoor activities and outings.

Mini-Club : for children from 4 to 6 years old. Outings and ski discovery are organised with French Ski School instructors. The ski equipment is provided by the hotel.

Kid’s club : for the older ones from 7 to 12 years old. You will be amazed at how much progress they can make with full day ski lessons!

Please note that places are limited and that priority is given to children staying in La Cachette hotel.

Arc 2000 (Les Marmottons)

Located at the bottom of the slopes on the first floor above the French Ski School, four state qualified staff look after children from 18 months to 6 years in the 2000 child-care centre.

It is open Sunday to Friday and from 8.45am to 12.15pm and from 1.30pm to 5pm.
We can look after your children from 12.15pm to 1.30pm at a cost of 15 € per hour. Please provide the children’s snacks.
Cuddly toys, tea-sets, cars, building blocks ... all you want for enjoyable indoor play, and, even if they say they don’t want to, we have all that is needed for an afternoon rest.

Outside there is a specially designed area where children can discover the joys of skiing through play. The cold, along with ski suits, can sometimes cause little accidents. Therefore, a temporary return to nappies is recommended. The older children can try out snowshoeing. A snack is provided by the child-care centre.

The BCG vaccination is compulsory and the child’s medical records will be asked for when you enrol. There are 25 places so it is advisable to reserve in advance. Enrolment takes place on Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm.

Getting about

Funicular
To get from Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Arc 1600, nothing could be easier ! Use our funicular. It will take you up to Arc 1600 in just 7 minutes. It is a unique method of transport and offers fabulous views over the Haute-Tarentaise region!

Departure point behind the SNCF train station.
Free of charge for all lift-pass holders.
Lifts pass offices at the funicular departure point.

You can travel with the funicular from 7h30 till 20h00, from Sunday till Thursday, every 20 minutes.

Shuttles

If you prefer the bus... the Autocars Martin bus company will also take you to les Arcs, www.autocars-martin.com, tel. +33 (0)4 79 07 04 49. To get from 1600 to 1800, 1950, 2000 and vice versa, regular free shuttle buses operate from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm.

From les Arcs 1950 to les Arcs 2000, use the cabriolet (gondola lift) and travel at one with nature!
From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, free regular shuttle buses are available for you ! They will take you to the foot of the Ecudets chairlift (ski link to La Rosiere), via Seez.

A free bus service also runs from Bourg St Maurice to Landry, via Hauteville-Gondon.
Fare paying buses to the other Haute Tarentaise resorts are available.
